Shasta Pedali Board Meeting Minutes

Members Absent: Green and Ameen

Members at Large Present: None

Location: Berryvale Market

Board President Tom Chandler opened the meeting at 12pm

Hill Climb Race Report: Race chairman Mario Marchi reported that the Hill Climb was a great success. The club, local businesses, Mt Shasta Police, USFS, and the bicycling community pulled together to make this an enjoyable event. Chandler reported that we have received quite a few emails expressing their gratitude for Pedali putting on this event.

A motion was made by Chandler; seconded by Eddy and unanimously voted in favor of hosting the hill climb again in 2006. Marchi agreed to once again being ride director. The details of the 2006 ride will be discussed at a future meeting when we have more members present so that we get a more rounded view as to where the club wants to go with this race.

Club Ride Supported by a Sag Wagon: A discussion followed about weekend rides that are supported by a Sag Wagon. Whereas the club appreciates a volunteer making the effort to provide sag support for some of the long and remote rides; whereas the club will reimburse a pre designated sag at the current federal mileage rate; whereas the riders on ride day may have the option to tip the volunteer driver; whereas non-members are welcome to join in the ride; whereas non-members will be required to sign a liability release form and will be required to pay to the club as reimbursement for a pre determined amount for the sag.
This motion was made by Eddy, seconded by Marchi and unanimously approved.

Policy Statement: It was recommended by Marchi that a policy record be maintained and published on the web. Eddy agreed as secretary to do so.
