will ask the club for volunteers to help with this effort.

the lead person on this project.
Pedali Hill Climb 2008-Mario:
* Mario
Marchi has once again offered to organize this popular event. He needs
help from club members in the following areas:
1. We need
insurance certificates naming Mt Shasta City and USFS as additionally
insured. Pete will take care of this.
2. We need
a letter of thanks for the donors of raffle prizes. Pete will do this.
3. We need
race day volunteers to help with the event. Ted will send an email and
rally volunteers.
4. We need
members to collect raffle prizes from the community. We didn’t come to
conclusion as to who was going to do this.
* Mario is
the lead person on this project.
Share The Road Sign Project-Ted:
* Ted has
found a supplier for the signs. There are two steel sign placards per post both
are reflective yellow background with black lettering; the top one is 30”x30”
with a bicycle symbol on it; the bottom sign is 24”x30” with the warning ‘SHARE
THE ROAD’. The sign only cost is about $120. Additional costs will
be the post and the installation of the signs.
* Pete will
contact the County of Siskiyou Road Department to see where we go from
here. We need to see what the post specifications are and how the County
wants to deal with the installation. Pete will report his findings
to Mike Read and to Ted Palfini.
* After
receiving Pete’s report Mike Read will organize a committee to select strategic
locations for the signs in both North and South County .
* Ted
Palfini is the lead person on this project.
Mt Shasta Pedali Website www.shastapedali.com :
* Members
have received some complaints as to the accuracy of the information on our
website. Our website is a valuable tool that is view by supporter’s world
wide; Pete has been told of riders in Brazil , Colorado and Virginia to name a
few that follow our website. The board and some of the membership feel
that our website is underutilized.
* We will
need help in recruiting a new webmaster for the 2009 season.
Adjournment at 1:15 pm
