Mt Shasta Pedali Meeting Minutes January 30, 2008 Noon

Roll Call: Board Members : Ted Palfini, Bonnie Eddy, Kristi Green, Mike Read and Pete Eddy. Member at large: Chet Collins

Treasurers Report:

• Ms. Green reported that we have about half of the Pedali normal membership of 50 signed up and paid in full for 2008 membership.
• Before any of the following expenditures the Pedali checkbook is at about $2300.

USA Cycling Membership:

• The board approved membership in this organization to facilitate their insurance program. Motion was made by Green second by B. Eddy to approve payment of $150.

HRH Insurance:

• The board also approved payment to HRH Insurance of Amarillo Texas for our club liability insurance.

Mt Shasta City Alternative Transportation Plan:

On behalf of the Mt Shasta City Alternative Transportation Committee Michael Williams has requested that Mt Shasta Pedali contribute $1,000 toward the creation of a bicycle and trails master plan for the City. After a lengthily discussion the Pedali Board identified the following club priorities: 1) county wide installation of SHARE THE ROAD signs to be placed strategically throughout the county. 2) the creation of a favorite routes map to be published on the web and printed for distribution to tourist and bike shop locations. After much discussion the board approved an award of $500. for funding of the transportation plan. It was the general consensuses that although this project was not a priority for our club we should show our support for public transportation routes that are focused on cycling.
